About Me

I know you are here to learn about real estate and the real estate market not me personally but real estate is a personal industry so here is a the short and sweet background on the person behind the blog… well, short and sweet for a REALTOR that is.

I am Maxine McLeod Miller, I started my real estate career in Charleston, South Carolina during the early 1990’s as Director of Sales and Marketing for William Clarke Properties. In 1997, I moved my real estate operation to Prudential Carolina Real Estate, now known as Carolina One. While at Prudential i went on and got my broker’s license, served on the company’s marketing council, and was a consistent multi-million dollar producer. In 2002, I got married and moved to Northern Virginia with my husband where I have been active in real estate sales and the training and coaching of real estate agents.

I am involved in the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS, am the past chair of the Convention Committee and the Education Advisory Group and served eight years on the Grievance Committee. In addition to real estate, I am also a full time mom to the cutest little girl on the planet and wife to the most awesome husband you could imagine.  To round out my already full life, I am involved with Reading is Fundamental of Northern Virginia, the Junior League of Northern Virginia, and The Falls Church.

On December 4, 2014 my company, Prudential PenFed Realty, began flying under the banner of Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Banner.  Between the two company names, I spent fourteen years as the managing broker of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty’s Alexandria/Arlington  and Fairfax City offices. I am currently an associate broker for the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty Alexandria/Arlington Office.
